Allen S. Kaplan has been licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey since 1981. He graduated from Cook College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1974 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. He attended Western New England College, School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he was a member of the Law Review. He was the winner of the American Jurisprudence Book Award in Torts and graduated Cum Laude. He was an adjunct facility at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst Campus, where he was an instructor of Business Law.

Allen S. Kaplan has been in private practice exclusively in New Jersey since 1981. His present office in Howell, New Jersey opened in 1986. During his legal career of more than 35 years, he has held a variety of positions in addition to his private practice. He has served as Municipal Prosecutor in Howell Township, Public Defender in Marlboro Township and Keansburg, Township Attorney in Howell Township and Assistant Monmouth County Council. In addition to those positions, he had the distinction to serve as the Municipal Judge in Marlboro Township in 2006 and the Municipal Judge in Howell Township for nine years in 2003.

Allen S. Kaplan and his partner, David Bookbinder, maintain their private practice with emphasis on the needs of small businesses and individuals. Their practice includes real estate transactions, Wills, Estates, family matters, personal injury cases, workers compensation and corporate formations in business acquisitions and sales. The office emphasizes a hands-on personal approach with the attorney actively in contact and access to their clients.

Allen S. Kaplan is active in the community. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Howell Chamber of Commerce and is the Chairman of the Education Foundation, which provides scholarships to graduating high school students. He is a past recipient of the Howell Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.
